Anger
Anger gets a bad reputation, but it's rarely the whole story. Underneath most anger is something more vulnerable: hurt, fear, exhaustion, grief, or the feeling of not being seen or protected. When anger has nowhere honest to go, it tends to leak out sideways, whether in relationships, at work, or turned inward against yourself. It's one of the most misunderstood emotions, either suppressed until it surfaces in ways that feel out of proportion or expressed so readily that it becomes a barrier to the relationships and goals that matter most.
In therapy we're not trying to get rid of your anger or teach you to swallow it more politely. We're treating it as information, a signal often pointing toward unmet needs, old injuries, or boundaries that were never allowed to form. Together we explore where your anger comes from, what it's protecting, and how earlier relationships shaped your relationship to this emotion in the first place. The goal is a more honest, workable relationship with your own anger, one that lets you use it as information rather than be ruled by it.
