Anxiety &
Fear of the
Unknown

Anxiety often shows up as a desperate attempt to control what can't actually be controlled: the future, other people's reactions, the next thing that might go wrong. It's a persistent sense of danger even when nothing is objectively wrong, a mind working overtime to predict an inherently uncertain future. It can feel like your mind is trying to protect you by staying one step ahead of disaster, even when that means you're rarely present in your own life, often because uncertainty genuinely was dangerous at some earlier point, or because a sense of safety had to be self-generated at a young age.

We'll slow down and get curious about what your anxiety is actually trying to prevent, and where that fear first took root, so your nervous system can gradually learn that uncertainty doesn't always signal threat. Understanding the story behind the worry tends to loosen its grip more than any technique aimed at silencing it, and the goal is a more genuine sense of internal safety, not just symptom suppression.
