Dynamics
Every family has patterns, roles people get cast into, loyalties that go unspoken, unconscious contracts upheld, ways of relating that get passed down whether anyone chose them or not. Family systems are often the first place we learn about love, conflict, boundaries, and our own worth. This means that estrangement, enmeshment, favoritism, or unspoken rules can leave a lasting imprint long after we've left home. Maybe you were the responsible one, the peacemaker, the scapegoat, or the one who had to grow up faster than made sense. Those roles often follow us long after we've left the house they were formed in.
We'll look at your family system with real curiosity rather than blame, tracing how certain dynamics took shape and separating what's genuinely yours from what you absorbed or inherited. Understanding the pattern is often the first real step toward not repeating it, and toward making more conscious choices about how you want to relate to your family, and to yourself, going forward.
