Identity
Development
Identity isn't one fixed thing you either have or don't. It's an ongoing negotiation between who we're told to be, who we've learned to be, and who we actually are underneath those layers, shaped by culture, family, gender, values, roles, and the different chapters of your life. It makes sense that it can feel unstable or unfinished sometimes, especially during big transitions or when different parts of your identity feel in tension with one another.
Together we'll explore the different threads that make up who you are, including the ones you haven't had language for yet, without forcing a premature resolution. The aim is an integrated identity that can hold multilayered complexity rather than requiring you to collapse into a single, simplified version of yourself.
Book an Appointment
Before we begin working together, I offer a free 15 to 20 minute phone or zoom consultation. It gives us both a chance to talk through what brings you to therapy and see if I'm the right therapist for you.
