Major Life
Changes

Even changes you chose, even good ones, can leave you feeling unsteady. A move, a breakup, a new job, a diagnosis, becoming a parent, losing one: transitions ask you to let go of a version of your life and yourself before the new one has fully taken shape, and that can bring up unexpected grief or anxiety even when nothing about the change is "wrong." That in-between space can feel disorienting, even when you can't quite explain why, because change of any kind often stirs up questions about who we are when familiar structures shift. Unwanted changes can be even more disorienting, disrupting a sense of stability and control.

We'll use this time as an opening rather than just something to get through, making room for the parts that are hard to admit, like grief for what's ending or fear about what's next, and exploring what kind of person you're becoming on the other side of it.

Before we begin working together, I offer a free 15 to 20 minute phone or zoom consultation. It gives us both a chance to talk through what brings you to therapy and see if I'm the right therapist for you.
