New Parents
Becoming a parent changes you in ways that are hard to prepare for, no matter how many books you read or how much you wanted this. It often reactivates your own early attachment experiences in unexpected ways, bringing up questions about the kind of parents you had and the kind you want to be. Your identity, your relationships, your body, your sense of time, all of it can feel like it's being rearranged at once. That can mean joy alongside grief, love alongside resentment, confidence alongside a kind of fear you didn't expect, and a level of psychological upheaval that isn't always openly discussed.
This work offers a space to process the full complexity of early parenthood, including ambivalence, exhaustion, and identity disruption, without judgment. It makes room for the parts that feel complicated or hard to admit, and looks at how your own upbringing and early relationships are showing up in how you parent. The goal is to support you not just as a parent, but as a whole person moving through a significant psychological transition.
