Perfectionism

Perfectionism usually isn't really about high standards. It's often a strategy developed early for managing anxiety, avoiding criticism, or securing love and approval that once felt conditional, and a way of trying to stay safe by controlling everything you can. From the outside it can look like drive or diligence, but that inner critic can be loud, relentless, and exhausting, and it rarely lets you feel genuinely satisfied with what you've accomplished.

In this work, we get curious about where that critical voice came from and what it was originally protecting you from, so you can begin to separate your worth from your performance. The goal isn't to lower your standards, but to loosen perfectionism's grip enough that you can pursue things you care about without it costing you your peace.
