Conflict

Most relationship conflict isn't really about the dishes, the schedule, or who said what. Those disagreements are often carrying older material: unmet needs, fears of abandonment or engulfment, old wounds being triggered, or roles from your family of origin repeating themselves in a new relationship. That's why the same fight can keep happening, seemingly regardless of the specific topic, even after you've "resolved" it a dozen times.

We'll look underneath the surface conflict to what's actually being activated for you, so you and your partner (or you, individually) can understand the deeper needs at play. The goal is for disagreements to become opportunities for real understanding, rather than repeated ruptures and just getting better at winning the argument.
