Sense
of Self
Some people come to therapy not because of one specific problem, but because they don't feel like they know themselves very well. A stable, coherent sense of self is something many people assume they simply have, until a breakup, a career change, or a loss reveals how conditional or fragile it actually was. For others, it's been a quieter, lifelong struggle, often shaped by early relationships that didn't reliably reflect back who they were. Maybe you've spent years adapting to other people's needs, moods, or expectations, and somewhere along the way your own preferences, feelings, and instincts got quieter and quieter.
This work is about turning the volume back up on you. We'll explore what you actually feel, want, and value, separate from what you think you're supposed to, so you can move through the world with a steadier sense of who you are, one that doesn't depend entirely on external validation or circumstances to feel real.
