Trauma

Trauma isn't only about what happened. It reshapes how the mind and body experience safety, trust, and connection: often in ways that persist long after the events themselves and showing up as patterns in relationships, self-perception, or unexplained emotional reactions. It's also about what your body and your sense of self had to do in order to survive it. That might mean parts of you learned to stay hypervigilant, to disconnect, to please, or to brace for danger long after the danger has passed. None of that is broken. It's adaptive, even if it doesn't feel that way anymore.

This work moves at a pace your system can actually handle, honoring the ways your mind protected you at the time, while gradually making room for what wasn't fully processed or integrated. Over time, the goal isn't to erase what happened, but to help you feel less ruled by it, so more of your life can belong to the present instead of the past.
